Personality:


Alfred is a loyal friend and guardian to the Wayne family. He will do anything in his power to protect the family and their only son, Bruce. When Bruce was left in his charge after their untimely death he found it very difficult raising a child. It was something he had never done or expected to do. The uncertainty didn't stop him and he did his best to raise Bruce in the way that his parents would have approved of. Yet, Bruce was no normal child grieving over his parents death and Alfred had to learn to adjust accordingly. In the process he made mistakes. Yet, it was always in best interest in protecting the boy.

Having served in the military, the British SAS, he has a background of a soldier and had made him pretty agile for someone of his age. He's not afraid to fight or get his hands dirty. He will kill if necessary, but would prefer to not have to go that way. If he needs information he'll go to whatever source that can provide it and isn't shy about forcing someone to give out the information when they are refusing to. He's aware that money talks and that will often be the first attempt and when that doesn't work he'll resort to other means.

Alfred knows how to work around people. He's very polite and formal and usually has a good idea of what to say. While people observe him as a simple butler he's able to get information or be on the watch due to people having let their guard down around him. He's able to interact with the common folk, the upper class, the mafia, a thug or homeless person on a street, or someone considered to be a villain.

Like most people Alfred does have a few weaknesses. His biggest one is his charge. He will go through any means necessary to protect him. This can be easily used against him. He also had to learn when to step in and when to allow his charge to learn from his mistakes. He's learned that he can't always come in to the rescue every time.

As a soldier he does have a quick temper, wanting fast results when they don't seem to be coming. He does hate standing by and often interferes, which sometimes can be a blessing or hurt the situation more.

Technology is also something he's not strong with. He can figure out the basics of a computer and other devices, but when it comes to fully understanding and operating them it takes him much longer. He doesn't have a lot of patience for it.

Women are often a soft spot for Alfred. Despite knowing and understanding people, sometimes he doesn't know when a woman is already with another person and makes an attempt to flirt with them. Or he can be protective if he realizes that a woman is in harm's way. While his actions mean well, they often fall back on him. It once cost him someone he believed he had connected with.
